something that it is your job or duty to deal with

The word itself sends shivers down my spine. I remember when I was in Primary 4 and my teacher wrote in my report card that I was responsible. I thought she was quite mad. I am not, nor have I ever been, responsible.

A while later I realised I had misread 'responsible', she had actually written that I was 'responsive'. That made a lot more sense. I was relieved.

I've gotten a job offer and am going to hear their $ offer soon.
